The first step in our process, a screening provides a quick glance at your child’s abilities.  We get to know each other, play some games, and determine if a full evaluation in the areas of speech or language is warranted.  If not, I am happy to share pointers for continued growth and education!

A bit more in depth than a screening, an evaluation provides detailed information about your child’s speech or language skills.  AAC (augmentative alternative communication) evaluations are also available.  Following your child’s evaluation, the speech-language pathologist will determine if therapy services are required.  Evaluation results and individualized recommendations will be discussed with caregivers at this point.

Once we have a plan and action items from the results of our evaluation, a comprehensive treatment plan will be developed with your family.  We want the plan to fit your child, your family, and our areas of expertise.  We work together to help your child grow- and we all play a large part in the process. Your input is absolutely necessary and we value it. Frequency and session duration are determined based on family goals.  We provide services in-home, at daycares, community locations, and private schools.  Keeping your child in a comfortable and familiar location can make such a difference in their growth, and we want them to succeed.

We are available for staff and community trainings, including a wide variety of speech and language topics.  Team consulting is also available in the area of AAC.  We’d love to partner up with you and your team to make an even bigger impact.
