I am a certified speech-language pathologist and the founder/owner of As We Speak. I have a passion for creating engaging, naturalistic therapy sessions for children of all abilities. With a focus on relationship building and collaborative problem-solving, I am dedicated to creating a friendly environment for you and your child. I have a lot of experience working with a diverse population of children. Further, I’ve provided speech and language services for children with the following diagnoses:
Language disorders/delay
Articulation disorders
Childhood Apraxia of speech
Autism spectrum disorders
Deaf and hard of hearing
Cerebral Palsy
Cortical visual impairments
Down Syndrome
Rett Syndrome
I have a passion for working with young children with speech and language delays. My favorite part of working with young children is seeing when strategies “click” and watching them grow and succeed. I also love sharing my own knowledge with families and classroom teachers, so they can continue to help their child grow.
I enjoy participating in continuing education for early language development, apraxia and articulation strategies. AAC (augmented alternative communication) and my dedication to learning more in the field of speech-language pathology has resulted in my winning of an ACE award- something I am very proud of. The ACE award is a formal recognition of professionals who have demonstrated their commitment to lifelong learning given by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I firmly believe that every child deserves a voice and every child communicates in their own unique way. I’m invested in the growth of every child that I have the opportunity to help.
In addition to my work as a speech-language pathologist, I enjoy reading, listening to pop culture podcasts, and watching my children play sports. I am a mother of three children, and I understand wanting the best care and compassion for your family.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your child(ren), and helping them grow and learn!
